Dear Mr. Brown,
I am interested in an entry-level management accounting position available at your company. I have recently visited your web site recently and there I found out that you are hiring people in this field. I have a genuine interest in telecommunication industry, such as your company.
I have graduated the Commerce School with a major in accounting and a minor in commerce in 2006 and am excited by the prospect of using this knowledge, and my natural passion for financial markets, to become a motivated member of your professional team. Besides my accounting major, my commerce degree included several subjects related to the financial markets including: pricing financial products, corporate governance and financial accounting systems.
For the last two years, I have been working in the settlements section of a major trading bank. In this role I have had to settle and balance the day's trading accounts over a variety of financial instruments, including government bonds and share market trades. All ledgers must be balanced by the end of the each day, this requiring attention to detail under the pressure and tight deadlines. I work unsupervised, but within a team environment. Furthermore, I consider myself a team-player. I believe that my genuine enthusiasm and strong work ethic will be an asset for your company.
I find working under pressure with a motivated team within the financial markets as very satisfying. The financial markets have interested me since I first played in school StockMarket competition in which my team finished in the top ten.
With my successful work experience and academic qualification, I believe I can be a suitable candidate for the job.
